Stamp.gif - 1868 BytesBefore buying your next home, or prior to placing your home on the market for sale, consider arranging for a Pre-Purchase inspection and report to be carried out by Barry. From only $215.00 (including GST) you receive a thorough internal and external visual report on most aspects of the dwelling ( see our example for part of a real report )

In most cases the reports can be carried out within 24 hours of the request. You are free to join Barry while he does the inspection and ask him any questions you may have. A written copy of the report will also be forwarded to you, usually within 48 hours of the inspection.

These inspections are carried out for the prospective purchaser when a contract has been signed to purchase a property, or prior to a contract being signed on a property. They can also be done for the vendor if required.

A day in the life of a Building inspector

Barry had not seen anything like this in 30 years of building. He couldn't wait to climb up on that roof and see how it was made and what sort of condition it was in. The search and rescue helicopter found him the next morning clinging to the topmost mast. Nothing stops Barry doing his Job !

This building took Barry quite a long time to inspect. Nevertheless with tireless energy he went through every room searching for those hard to see hidden flaws. Overall the building was in very good condition although bedroom 134 did have a loose ceiling tile.

This is a picture of the entry way in one of Townsville's better homes. Quite roomy and ornate, but looks can be deceiving. During the great flood of 98 the water level here rose to 9.7 metres. The owner was trying to keep this a secret but he hadn't counted on Barry doing a building report on it ...

Barry has seen a lot of "handy man" specials but this took the cake. Absolutely shocking condition. Look at that left wall, very dangerous. No roof, crumbling brickwork, nonexistent windows or doors. Tear it down and build a nice new archeological museum or something ..
